Flor de Maria de los Angeles Olivo
I work at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and community care.
My background spans visual storytelling, movement and embodiment practices, nonprofit strategy, fundraising, and grassroots organizing. Over the past two decades, I’ve built and supported initiatives that translate values into real systems, whether that’s helping organizations strengthen their funding and governance, designing spaces for connection and healing, or creating art that tells honest human stories.
I have accumulated credentials
as I’ve embarked in this work, including:
MA • Masters of Arts in Communication,
University of Utah
Post-Graduate Certificate in Gender Studies,
University of Utah
BA • Bachelor of Arts in Journalism,
University of Utah
Minor in Peace and Conflict Studies,
University of Utah
RYT • 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher,
Yoga Assets YTT
Additional credentials listed on my
Linked In profile.
I currently do grant writing and fundraising strategy for local nonprofits. My role bridges program strategy with clear storytelling, data synthesis, and impact framing, helping complex social work translate into fundable, accountable outcomes.
Alongside this, I lead Flawur, a creative and wellness ecosystem that includes photography and media work, embodied practices, and community-centered programming.
Through projects like Descanso and Connection Studio, I design spaces that invite people into reflection, movement, learning, and collective care. My creative work blends mixed media, photography, and narrative, often rooted in ancestral memory, place, and everyday resilience.
I also consult with small organizations, collectives, and founders on brand clarity, fundraising strategy, program design, and operational systems, with a focus on equity, sustainability, and relational leadership. My approach is practical and systems-minded, while staying deeply human.

At the core of all this is a belief that healing, creativity, and economic stability are not separate.
I believe we build stronger futures when we invest in people, relationships, and imagination together.
